Penlow Farms
Allan & Donna Lowry & Family
Almonte, Ontario
In 1951, Bert Lowry and Dorothy Penman were married and started a dairy business on 100 acres and called it Penlow Farm(Pen from Penman and Low from Lowry). In 1978, their son Allan and his wife, Donna, became partners in the business. Shortly after that time, the herd became entirely purebred. A cash crop operation was developed in conjunction with the dairy herd. The farm expanded over the next two decades to 650 tillable acres.  In 1994, Allan and Donna took over the farm and with the help of their four children (Christa, Julie, Brad & Leanna) and Allan's parents, continue to improve type and production on their 50 milking cow herd.
